[Dclug] Consulting projects

I am interested in ways other people learn of consulting opportunities. 
I am at the point in my life where any job is pretty much a job, as long
as I am working from someone else.  I want to make a strong push toward
making my consulting work full time.  I have been doing stuff on the
side for some time.   Does anyone have any suggestions?  So far, I have
been keeping an eye on Craigslist postings for help.  What other options
are out there to find work I can bid on, or projects I can get involved
in?  My target clients are probably small to medium business, networking
and support.  I would also like to find short term projects doing
government consulting as a subcontractor (I have clearances), and
consulting to larger companies for specific projects (such as installing
an NIDs based IDS, for example).
