The DC Chapter of the ACM will be holding a membership meeting on
Monday, June 25th. This meeting is mainly for active ACM members,
although individuals who are interested in joining the ACM are
welcome to attend.

At this meeting we will be discussing the following (not necessarily in
this order):

1. Election of Officers

The chapter is required to have at least a Chairman and a Treasurer; we
must formally elect a candidate for each of those positions in order to
be fully recognized. We should also elect a Vice-Chair and a Secretary.
You must be student or professional member of the ACM to hold a chapter
office.

2. Chapter Functions

We will discuss future chapter endeavors, such as the above mentioned
lectures and training seminars, as well as continued local science fair
participation, external technical representation, educational outreach,
and interaction with other professional organizations.

3. Chapter Bylaws

We will open discussion on a new set of chapter bylaws. Anyone who is
interested in a copy of the provisional document please contact William
Fielder at wfielder at acm.org. Copies will also be provided at the meeting.
