Where did you find a Verizon DSL Install CD that required "Linux"?
<GRIN>

I guess you really meant it required Windows/or/Mac support
 {well Internet Explorer, really for the Windows version}.
 The same as my Verizon DSL Install CD required.

Although I have never had any problems with Verizon DSL, once I got past
the Account Setup sequence and figured out how to configure 'pppoe'.

If you really want to setup{activate} "Version DSL" without using a Mac
or Windows machine? Then start reading here:
  "verizon dsl setup" on Ubuntu Forms
 <http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=302202>

Once you read far enough into the thread you will find that all you have
to do is call the Verizon Help Desk {being friendly} and get them to
register a username/password for you and then know how to configure
PPPOE on your favorate OS and/or router.

Or google on: Linux setup Verizon DSL install

and you will find a lot more information, but it all basicly comes down
to the above paragraph.

Only "problem" is every once in a while my Verizon supplied Home page
acts funny about me logging into it with FireFox.

want a challenging computer game with lots of graphics. It should be
difficult, confusing and have plenty of contradictions to keep me busy".

The assistant replies "Have you tried Windows XP?"
