I use RDP at work and it's a bit slow, but pretty cool. What I really
like about it is that, since my employer runs MS Server 2000 with remote
terminal services, I can work "on windows" from home, even from my FreeBSD
box (PIII 555Mhz, 128M RAM!). Something about logging onto the Windows
environment from FreeBSD feels deliciously subversive.
I've also been following NOmachines' software, which compresses the X
protocol and apparently pretty effectively. I wish I had some servers to
play around with just to try it out.
