[Dclug] Configuring Firefox

I often have need to insert something into the "browser slit" at the
top of Firefox.  At present, I have to put the mouse at that slit,
do a quick double-click, then the complete contents gets highlighted
and I can press the Delete(Backspace) key.  _Then_ I have to go back
to the URL I want to insert, capture it, and then go back to the
browser window and to the slit.

I think it would be great if I could configure Firefox so that the
slit(I know there's a better name, I can't recall it) would be
cleared at, say, the press of the F12 key.  Does anyone know if
this can be done?  (and if so, how?<G>)
