I've found that for just about every drop-down box that has pre-filled
values (location bars, form elements, search boxes, etc), if you
highlight an entry and press shift-delete, it will remove it from the
cache.

This is most useful for clearing out those annoying typos for things
like http://googgle.com/. [1]
