You need to use SSH. It is possible to forward the xwindows connection
through SSH to a Windows machine (use PuTTY) and then display the remote
applications using an x-server on the Windows host (I think cygwin comes
with one, maybe Microsoft services for UNIX (or is that only things like
NFS?) and then there were older commercial Windows xservers (Hummingbird
comes to mind). I'm sure there is at least one free X Server for Windows.
The other solution is using something like VNC to the Linux machine, or
RDP.
None of it uses telnet, though.
