hi dclug community,

just curious if there are any singers in our community? here's a
linux hymn i've been composing. it would be sweet to record one or
more versions for youtube.

Amazing Source

Amazing source,
How sweet the code.
That reveals itself to me.

I once was locked,
But now I'm open.
Was proprietary,
But now I'm free.

Twas once that code,
Was open to all.
And then it got locked down good.

And wait and pray,
Was all you could do,
Even if you knew how to fix a bug.

That code which is open,
Is improvable.
Surely, that's something you can see?

The process of improving,
It creates community.
 From C to shining C++.

Amazing source,
How sweet the code.
That reveals itself to me.

I once was locked,
But now I'm open.
Was proprietary,
But now I'm free.
