To echo the current comments. Ask yourself why are you volunteering? Then
ask, am I being counter productive by volunteering and not presenting myself
as properly as I can given the audience? I agree with your ideals, and I
myself ask at every interview "What is the company policy on facial hair?".
But I guarantee I will be clean shaven and in a tux.org polo shirt come
tuesday. That's my personal choice, but I feel that I will represent
Tux.orgbest that way.
