If you are going to be doing booth duty this week at FOSE please keep
the following in mind:

1. Dress Appropriately, I have gone over the dress code extensively on
this list. We have requested Putty or Black golf/polo type shirts, the
tux logo kind if possible. Please wear pants/slacks. If you have a
problem with this please contact me OFF LIST. Thank you

2. We have several freebies for the show. Most of the freebies are in
boxes labeled with days on them (Tue/Wed/Thurs). Please ONLY
distributed from boxes labeled with that day. We have a limited number
of freebies and I've tried to set it up so that we have some to give out
on every day. Each day is given a certain number of the following
freebies:
	* Fedora Core DVDs (x86/ppc/x86_64) - Be sure that people
understand what you are giving them, these are NOT live DVDs
	they are install DVDs
	* Ubuntu Live CDs - These should arrive today
	* BSD Live CDs (x86) - very limited supply, please give out only
to people who are specifically interested
	* Linux Journal
We also have a few Linux Journal T-Shirts and Archive CDs. They are all
located in one box. Please only give these out to people you believe
have truly asked good questions or shown an extensive amount of interest
and willingness to learn. These are our reward freebies. Also, make
note of how many are left and leave a few for the following day(s) so
they have a chance to give out a few as well.

3. There is a box of "About Linux" fliers in the booth. Please give
these out by slipping them into the front cover of the Magazines, as
well as, just handing them out in general.

4. I also left a bag of candy bars to help supply a pick-me-up if you
need them :-).

5. There should be a demo workstation setup when you get to the booth.
I will set it to auto login to a demo user on bootup. If you need the
root password, contact me via cell/txt at 703-627-8397.

6. It looks like we may even have a Badge scanner for our booth this
year. I'm not sure how this will work, but feel free to give it a try
if it's running and you want to. We may need a software wiz to make
some quick software for it, if it turns out to require windows ;-). It
might be cool to get some statistics on what kind of people are actually
dropping by our booth!

Please remember to keep it positive, this isn't about how bad windows
and proprietary stuff is. This is about how good Linux, OpenSource, and
OpenStandards is!

Once again I want to thank ALL of you for volunteering and helping out
with this. I'm looking forward to a great FOSE event!

Cheers,
David
