Alan,

While I understand your frustration, I believe it is completely
reasonable for a group to require certain guidelines and expectations
while you are representing that group.   In addition, there are
certain legal restrictions/risks for non-profits if they engage in
"political activities".  I believe that to protect Tux.org, there must
be a bright red line separating the two... once any group can blur
that line, it becomes a free for all.

Regardless of the Board's other behavior/activities - I agree with you
about last fall's server outage - I believe that David approached this
required position in a reasonable way with reasonable tact.
