Maybe I'm the only one whose mind works this way, but is anyone else
thinking this mirrors almost every developer argument from any Open
Source project? David was asked to run this booth. And he is doing it
the best he can, and I would say a great job (if anyone asked). Sort of
a similar position to a lead developer or a project coordinator. If you
don't like how the project is run, become lead developer and change the
course. Next year, volunteer to run the booth and have it run your way.
Tux.Org just had elections, why didn't you run for a position? You have
the power to do what you want your way. If you don't like the framework,
then find a new framework, or make your own. Isn't this the reason I
have about 10 MTA's to choose from, 2 different major GUIs and a few
dozen smaller ones not to mention dozens of distros? Even something as
'simple' and 'standard' as DNS gives me choices of which server to run.
Makes me wonder if how we use our computers/how we approach Open Source,
is how we approach the rest of our lives? Hummmm....
