*** IT'S COMING --> SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th!!! ***

* I just received the kit from the SFD organizers, which includes a few
T-shirts, some buttons, pins, and stickers, and some copies of the Open
CD.  I also have a metric boatload of Ubuntu and Fedora discs to give
away (and give away we MUST, because they'll be superseded later this
fall).

* I've asked Chris O'Donnell, media master extraordinaire, to help out
with contacting press about the event.

* Kermit Jones said he could provide a table for the outdoor stand.  We
could showcase an OLPC XO there (I just got one!) as a hook -- families
*LOVE* these.  We could potentially have another machine there running
FOSS.  Inside Meeting Room #2 we could be running a few machines and
showing off their capabilities.

* Let's also put together a list of places we might want to drop off
some discs for giveaways.  The right targets, to me, are shops that
cater to a more free-wheeling, independent crowd, but we don't want to
just preach to the choir either.  Corky's?  Bookstores?  What other
places might be amenable?

* We'll need people to agree to spend time on Friday going by the stores
personally and talking to them so they know (1) we're not crazies, (2)
where they can send people for more answers, i.e. the library.
