Virtualization for desktop users

I'd like to have a session on virtualization for people who haven't
tried it. I'll see if I can work up a short slide deck and some demo
material for this purpose. It would cover:

* How to install virtualization support where needed
* How to choose and configure a new virtual machine guest
* How to get virtual guests on the network

I'll definitely include a bit on VMWare and VirtualBox, but these
won't be a focus since they both use the "crippleware" model for their
free offerings. If I can figure out oVirt by then, I may show a bit
of that for the people in the audience who want to manage large VM
pools in the office. I don't claim to be an expert on it, but at the
very least it would be worth exploring! In other words, the fact that
I might not know how to do it has nothing whatsoever to do with
whether one *can* do it! :-)

Peter, would it be possible to schedule the use of your projector on a
date that works for everyone? I'm sure that Saturday would be more
agreeable for Peter since it's very tough for him to get to Thursday
night meetings. Would peoplel be interested in this kind of a
presentation at a Saturday morning meeting?

Paul
