[FredLUG] New to Fredericksburg, but not Linux

Hi.

I recently moved here to Fredericksburg from Cleveland.  I found this group while doing some google searches looking for a DC equivalent to Ohio Linux Fest - unfortunately there appears to be none.  

Anyway, I first booted a Linux system running kernel version 0.94, an early Slackware release, back in '93. Then in '94, built a PC just to run Linux.  I've been a UNIX admin for eons, but the last 6 years or so has seen me move from UNIX to Linux professionally.   Now I'm a RHCE and work for the Government Printing Office supporting FDsys.

Once the Holidays are over, and things settle down, I plan on attending a meeting.
