You may want to also check the jumpoer for clearing the bios.

Any hardware nerds in the group? I spent the afternoon assembling a new
PC which is my son's Christmas present.
Athlon dual core
ASUS MB
2 Gb RAM
geForce 9500
500 GB HD
DVD drive that I had laying around.
It's dead. I have power to the motherboard as evidenced by the LED on
the motherboard working, but pushing the power button produces nothing,
no fans, no hint that the computer is even plugged in.
All parts in the build were brand new, except the optical drive. I've
double checked all my connections, triple checked the little 2 prong
power switch connector. I can't even get the power LED on the front of
the case to light.
Any ideas? At the moment I have $350 over sized paper weight, which
was not exactly on my son's Christmas list.
