Senior UNIX Systems Administrator

As a member of our rapidly growing Operations Team, the Senior UNIX Systems
Administrator will be a 24x7 operations-minded, customer-focused individual.
A hands-on, strategic approach is required to address installation,
configuration, test, production, optimization, and escalated support of our
ground-breaking metadata processing server technology.


In this role you will need: 

*	Extensive expertise in UNIX and Linux (Windows is a plus) including
configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization 
*	Top notch custom support know-how 
*	Familiarity with database and server deployments, including
client-server configurations 

*	Strong sense of process, detail, and follow-through 
*	Ability to multi-task effectively, self-motivated and enjoys working
in a team environment 
*	Excellent oral and written communication skills 

*	Ability to travel and be on call as needed for customer deployments
and critical support situations 

 

Requirements: 

*	B.S. in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience 

*	4 years relevant UNIX system administration or equivalent
professional experience with a background in Systems Operations and
Networking 
*	Experience with firewalls, DHCP and DNS servers 
*	Working knowledge of HTTP and TFTP protocols 

*	Systems design or software engineering background, including
programming expertise in Java, C++, or C desirable 
*	Experience deploying application front ends, load balancers, SANs
and blade centers desirable 
*	Practical knowledge of DB administration, stored procedures, and SQL
queries desirable 

*	Scripting experience using off the shelf test tools and/or scripting
languages (Perl, Tcl/TK, JScript, Python, etc.) desirable
