Job Description:
Seeking a Technical Project Manager to work within the Portal Services 
team. This person will be responsible for project intake, resource 
coordination, planning, executing, and closing out of projects supporting 
various operations teams within Portal Services. They would also be 
responsible for communicating status updates to the team, internal and 
external stakeholders of those projects, and management.

Job Responsibilities:
Candidate responsibilities include but are not limited to: interacting 
with technical and product leadership within the various AOL divisions and 
external customers to gather requirements and discuss hosting solutions; 
creating project plans and coordinating project schedules; overseeing 
operational launches; providing regular status updates to customers and 
management. The candidate would need to interface with various internal 
AOL organizations that provide services to our hosting customers such as 
Network Operations, Security Operations, Infrastructure Services, and 
others. They would also be responsible for providing account management 
support to their assigned customers such as post launch support 
coordination issues, account maintenance, updating customer documentation. 
Some after hours support may be required.

Required Skills:
Must have prior Project Management experience within a Technical 
environment. Must have expertise in managing simultaneous multiple 
projects. Highly developed organizational skills. MS Project, MS Excel, MS 
Powerpoint, Visio project management and implementation skills. Familiar 
with the project life cycle. Ability to drive and lead projects to keep 
them on track and to help remove roadblocks, etc. Shows the ability to 
solve complex problems that require independent thinking. Able to 
communicate effectively. Ability to effectively interpret and act on 
customer needs. Ability to work under stress associated with a 24/7 
production environment; and be able to work effectively in a team 
environment.

Desired Skills:
PMP and/or PMI Certifications. Technical Project Management in an 
Operations or Production environment. Systems or Network administration 
experience. Experience with web hosting technologies and/or previous 
experience working with web hosting providers a plus.

Education/Equivalent Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and 4-6 years directly related experience, or an 
equivalent combination of educational background and experience.
