Job Title: Sales Analyst (NYC)
Description: Sales Analyst:
You are responsible for increasing the effectiveness,
agility & accuracy of the NY & US sales management
team for sales & SG&A forecasting & reporting. The
position will reduce operational pressure on the
sales team & create new opportunities by taking on
all ongoing sales operations, improve budgeting &
forecasting capabilities, optimize pricing
proposition, assist in developing new business
opportunities & optimizing commission plans.
Responsibilities:
Provide regular revenue analyses.
Maintain the revenue tracking tool for commission
calculations.
Perform month-end revenue reconciliation and compare
to the Finance statements for inconsistencies.
Help senior management effectively manage costs and
strategize development by providing monthly variance
analysis.
Work with the sales leaders and the finance
department on setting annual, quarterly and monthly
revenue targets by products and teams.
Help senior management effectively manage sales and
strategize development through revenue data analysis:
assess the statistical significance of results,
organize information into a coherent framework and
relate it to previous results.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in a Finance or Sales
Operation role with a proven track record of accuracy
& mathematic insight.
At least 3 years experience in putting together a
budget with multiple products & other variables.
Some level of leadership experience, ideally at least
3 years experience in a management role of
responsibility & accountability.
High level of accuracy & understanding of the
“numbers.”
Excellent explanatory skills, both written & verbal.
Flexible, the ability to quickly adapt to new
situation & to prioritize workload.
Demonstrate ability to make decisions & take
responsibility while balancing this with input from
key stakeholders of the business.
Must be willing to be the “right-hand” of the Sales
VP’s & take responsibility for the data & research
provided that will lead to decisions that impact the
region & it’s team.
Behaviors:
Demonstrated knowledge of all Microsoft office
products, in particular Excel & PowerPoint, i.e. the
ability to use graphs & tables etc to visualize
problems & challenges in simple way.
Creative thinking & problem solving skills.
Strong organizational & documentation skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple ongoing
projects.
