Seeking Linux System administrators with Oracle experience

With more than 30 years of experience at all levels of the federal 
government, CIBER Federal is a premier provider of Systems Engineering, 
Applications Development, and IT Infrastructure support. We build, 
integrate and support solutions and services by integrating domain 
knowledge and experience with technical expertise in information 
technology, energy, physical security, healthcare, defense and 
aerospace, training, and accounting.

POSITION: As a system administrator, you’ll work with a rapidly growing 
team dealing with homeland security type projects. Located in McLean 
Virginia, right by Tyson’s Corner, you’ll be working party onsite, 
partly supporting client installations, onsite and via remote 
interfaces. Working from home/remote is an option.

WHEN: Immediate

•	Linux (RedHat ES/AS 3.0/4.0/5.0)
	o	Similar distribution/kernel experience is acceptable
	o	Linux administration products/tasks
		o	LVM
		o	Kernel configuration
		o	Bash
		o	User Administration
		o	NFS
		o	Kernel/module configuration
	o	Hardware Raid
	o	Dell Open Manage / hardware management and monitoring
	o	Bash shell scripting

Expected number of years of Linux system administration/configuration: 5 
years.  Certifications is a plus but not required.

Some Oracle experience is needed:

o	2-3 years of Oracle 10g (recent experience) DBA
o	Create Oracle AS 10g environments
o	Install/Maintain AS 10g environments in distributed environments (Linux)
	o	Oracle Portal Repository Setup/maintenance
	o	Oracle Single Signon (SSO)
	o	OID  (Oracle LDAP)
	o	SSL with Oracle Application Server
o	Oracle Enterprise Manager
o	RMAN (backup / recovery)
o	Advanced SQL and PL/SQL expert
o	RAC / ASM
o	Performance and optimization

Sample tasks:
•	Configure new servers (RHES 4.0 and 5.0)
•	Install Oracle Application Servers
•	Install Oracle Databases
•	Copy/manage multiple environments for different clients, staging, 
development
•	Monitor installations for issues
•	Trouble shooting
•	Patching and upgrades
