[Ma-linux] notebook backlight repair

Hello,

My notebook's screen died while I was in Berlin for the Linux Audio
Conference. Does anyone know of a good laptop/notebook repair shop in or
near Arlington? 

It's an Asus z9200km. There is still an image there, just no backlight.
I'm told it's likely to just be the inverter, but as this is my first
notebook I don't exactly know what that means. Is this something I could
replace myself?
