What nobody is quite saying is:
There really is only one communications command, telnet
& everything is an option to it.
Now that's not really accurate, given cp, and far more, but...
There's telnet-we use to login, there's ssh which is
telnet securely, there's smtp, there's uucp etc....
All based on the Unix 101 motto of "Build a good tool, and use it
as many times, as many ways, as makes sense. Do NOT build one-use
tools if avoidable.."
