One of the common places for a laptop manufacturer to skim is with the
video card/drivers. Intel makes a chipset specifically geared towards
meeting the minimum specs and no more.
When I read the reviews on my Toshiba, I found out that I had the
*bare minimum* that was compatible with Vista and almost every
complaint was based on that.. Luckily, I had Ubuntu on it at the
time.
