[Ma-linux] Installing Nvidia drivers DID NOT go well (Computer boots to grub)

Opensuse 10.3 beta 2
Used the following procedure to install the nvidia drivers:
Using the "The easy way" install for Opensuse 10.3.
First, I installed the drivers for 'new' cards using the '1-click' link, this
runs nvidia.ymp. This went fine.
Then I ran the following three commands (as root):
>nvidia-xconfig --add-argb-glx-visuals -d 24
This went OK as well.
Instead of restarting X, I rebooted.
Now I'm at the grub prompt, the PC won't boot normally (I turned it off and
back on same thing happened) and need to determine why installing these
drivers and configuring X hosed booting the PC.
