I've installed a 500 Mb WD Caviar Green HD (Sata3) in my Centos 5 Server
(AMD QuadCore) - Linux 2.6.18-128.el5 #1 SMP (x86_64)
Fdisk keeps failing with the following message -
kernel: ata1: SError: { HostInt Handshk }
So far I've gotten 1 response -
Well try the basics first? Replace cables (sata power)
Still giving you issues try the 1.5gbs limiting jumper...
And a pointed to the Linux SATA HomePage
http://linux-ata.org/faq-sata-raid.html
Thanks in Advance
