I was sorta right and wrong. The board in my server is a Abit AS-8 and 
it has two 1G sticks. The board in the closet (unused) is a 
Gigabit-7N400 Pro2.  I seem to recall having the same problem and the 
manual saying something about having to use matched memory in not only 
pairs, but in all 4 if you wanted to use all 4. Which is why I happen to 
have two 1G sticks in the Abit.

Sorry I cant be more help that that. But really, if you want another 
Pro2 to see if it was just your MB or not, I'll box this one up.
