[Ma-linux] Umount Problems

I have a partition I want to mount, work on, and then unmount. The first 
two steps go fine. The third step results in a device is busy message. 
lsof shows that the partition is being used by kio_file and seamonkey 
and run-mozilla. The browser was never directed to the partition. How do 
I successfully umount this partition? The permissions in fstab are:  
noauto,owner,user,rw 1 1
