I concur with Nino. A written 'howto' that explains
something in detail - hopefully with some explaination of
how it works as well, is a lasting contribution to the whole
linux computing community! I'd
love to see a story on how to properly "install" a
printer without pain and what is really going on, or how to get spamassassin
to work on my rules and with "auto-learning" - I have never
been able to do that, or how to ... (there are so many howtos
that we need.)
It would even be nice to gather the best of the web and put them
up as a simple set of downloadable ascii files (remember K.i.s.s.)
There are such collections, but none stands-out, and those I've
seen are pretty sparse.
There is something called the Linux documentation
project, but somehow, I don't see any documentation
on cogent issues easily visible.
I have attached an example for TeX - but not a "good" example, just a
poor beginning. [It has to be an attachment because, I
don't know a way to ask my Mozilla mail agent to embed
a file as part of a message, short of barbaric cut-and-paste
machinations.]
