I have a gadget-happy colleague who has one of these and I tried it
once. No, you wouldn't want to use one of these in a speed typing
contest, but it is fairly sensitive. You could tap out an email with it
with little trouble. You'd be typing a little slower than you're used
to, but honestly you probably would anyway. It's actually fairly
disconcerting for a touch-typist to be typing on a hard surface, with
nothing moving under your fingers.

And if you're not a touch-typist, this thing should be able to keep up
with you without much trouble...
