[Novalug] Linux for 'drivetime' ?? Tech in audio only format ?

Looks like after 2 years of working from home that I will again be 'on
the road again' commuting. I'll be commuting from Winchester
to The Reston/Herndon area. About a 1.25 hour drive each way.

Given that I'll be a captive audience during that time I was wondering if
that drive could be more productive than just listening to the local news
or talk radio. My music of choice (Bluegrass) only exists in Satellite
radio and my wife and I have decided that we didn't want to spend the
money for it.

I've only done limited searches but wonder if technical resources were in
audio format so that it could be accessed while driving. I have no idea
if this is a good thing or If I can even absorb the material during my
drive. I'll have to get an audio player to hook to the truck radio but
that seems to be the easy part.

Does this exist or am I nuts....
