If you know me at all, and by now you ought to, you will realize that I
define Reality to suit my tastes and desires. I once struggled with the
ambiguity between "disk" and "disc", but upon further reflection have
decided to banish the latter word from my lexicon.
This is not the most radical decision I have ever made. Visiting
dictionary.com and looking up both words tends to indicate that disk is
now the dominant term
Of course, most CD readers have the word "disc" in their logo, so that
word will be around for awhile.

Disk is a noun. "Read/Write" and "Read Only" are adjectives that might
be applied to them. So are "Magnetic" and "Optical".
