	Uncle Max, what are you talking about?  the point is: why the
	necessity to replace perfectly good hardware?

	Excuse me.  That's exactly the case.  And I'm not asking for
	"sympathy" -- whatever that might represent -- I'm asking that
	Linux people work to prevent the throwing away of perfectly
	good machines.  Which mine is.
