[Novalug] Laptop question again.

My buddy JUST BOUGHT an HP 17" laptop. There is a partition on the
drive that has the reinstall image for recovery. I have not had a
chance to see if I can dump that to CD, but there is a recovery OS on
the hard drive. It may be that you use something like Knoppix to boot
then burn the partition/image to DVD. His only apprehension with buying
the laptop is that the current iteration of HP laptops has a shiny
exterior that can scratch easily.

I have an HP laptop 15" from 4 years ago that I love. It has a rugged
grey exterior and has performed flawlessly. I did do some upgrades and
take to/from work in the car and on the motorcycle.
