[Novalug] Ubuntu Grub question

What grub may be complaining about is that the /boot partition is
someplace over the 1024 limit.  Roger noted that this problem is
largely a thing of the past, but I've had relatively recent (<5yo)
machines exhibit the problem, so I create a small /boot as the first
partition (and force it to be a primary partition) to head off the
issue.  Unnecessarily superstitious?  Perhaps.  I hear cable select
works now too, but why tempt fate?
