Um, no. Once you enter the realm of publishing reference material, 
whether free or paid, you are bound by The Truth. If not Legally, than 
at least Morally.

Having said that, there may have been good reason for reverting to the 
previous maps. For example, insurance adjusters could better locate 
property and compare current conditions with previous ones. While I 
doubt that Google would be swayed by such partisan interests, the 
previous condition might also be more useful to city personnel.
