Interesting little gadget.

I've been mulling a hardware project that I'd like to bounce off the
group. I have a need for a book sized device that that displays text. It
needs to be as readable as a paper and ink book with simple controls
(page back, next page, bookmark, goto bookmark, goto page #), loadable
from a usb stick and no *&^%(# DRM. It also needs to be cheap.

There are a number of really tiny one board Linux machines out there and
Phillips has come out with digital paper displays. Any ideas?
