[Novalug] Mplayer Plugin

I'm trying to play videos from chesslecture.com on my OpenSUSE 10.2 
machine. It works on my 9.3 machine (mplayer and mplayer-plugin v 3.17), 
but not on 10.2 (mplayer and mplayer-plugin 3.40).

Like a lot of this stuff, it's wmv only. When I attempt to play it, I get 
an error message that says there is no codec for vo format. The audio 
plays just fine.

Somehow, I would think the newer plugin should work better. What am I 
missing?
