[Novalug] A Suggestion about our E-lists for Tux.Org people,
and for us all

I am getting three times as much E-mail as I need to get, and so are
many others. For a person who needs help here wants to cast her/his
net as wide as possible; so (s)he posts to all three of our "local"
E-lists, novalug, ma-linux, and dclug. And all repliers have to
reply to all, etc etc etc. And many of us are on all three E-lists.
This can be fixed, I believe, using a mailman concept called
umbrella lists.
I would like the respected Honchos of Tux.org, together with the
owners/admins of novalug, dclug, and ma-linux, to get together
and work out a hierarchy of these E-lists, seeing exactly what
each list is for and what messages need to be one which list.
This needs meetings, and pencil and paper, and negotiation; but
it shouldn't be too hard.
Once a policy is worked out, it should be announced, and our
usual peer pressure discipline should be invoked.
Am I being too ambitious/quixotic? Comments?
Best wishes,
Alan

"The intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy."
Impeachment proceedings should be started immediately.
