Senior Technical Project Manager

Threespot is seeking an experienced Technical Project/Product Manager 
for an immediate opening. The Technical Project Manager will be 
responsible for successfully implementing and managing robust, 
enterprise-class web-based applications and technology solutions. This 
is a hands-on position: the successful applicant will not only manage 
technical projects, but also work independently and with our software 
engineers to implement technical solutions. Tasks include performing, 
participating in, and/or managing requirements assessment, business 
analysis, application architecture development, application development, 
and test plan creation, among others.

Candidate will work directly with the project Account Manager, handle 
the day-to-day project and technology management, ensure projects stay 
on schedule and within budget, ensure software development effort maps 
to business requirements and feature specifications, prepare status 
reports, and provide technical support and guidance to the project team 
and client. While intimately involved with the technology team, the 
candidate will report to our director of Client Services.

Candidate must be able to lead the production team through a large 
project's full life cycle including kickoff, strategy, documentation, 
technical delivery, and quality assurance.
Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree
* Strong leadership and project management skills with proven record of 
effective planning, budgeting, management, and execution of medium to 
large software development projects
* Minimum 4-5 years experience as a web-based technical manager, 
technical lead, or solutions architect with experience with .NET 
Framework, plus one or more of the following: ColdFusion, PHP, 
HTML/CSS/Javascript, ASP, MS SQLServer, and/or MySQL
* Substantial experience working with content management and web site 
configuration tools and systems
* Proven ability to learn sophisticated systems and technologies quickly
* Experience working within a graphic design-intensive environment
* Ability to assist with the translation of business needs into 
technical strategies, functional requirements, functional 
specifications, technical specifications (i.e., data dictionary, process 
flows, architectural diagrams, etc.), and detailed project plans
* Ability to participate in the creation of project plans that identify 
budgets, deliverables, critical milestones, and potential risks to the 
budget and schedule on technology-heavy projects
* Strong client-facing skills and ability to advise the client and the 
project team on technical/application architectures, design, processes, 
and best practices
* Familiarity with compatibility and cross-platform issues related to 
the major browsers and operating systems
* Experience identifying and analyzing project issues and recommend 
actions to project stakeholders including specification feedback, issue 
escalation to managers and or scope changes/clarifications to project 
resources
* Ability to manage simultaneous projects to completion on-time and 
within tough deadlines

Responsibilities

* Work with Account Managers and Project managers on technical 
interactive projects and create, monitor, and manage projects
* Work with Account Managers and technology staff to define strategic 
technical solutions for clients based on business needs
* Ensure that the project vision and business needs override technical 
decisions and prioritizations
* Create and maintain detailed software development plans
* Manage use of and augment cross-functional teams including 
strategists, designers, programmers
* Document project deliverables including requirement documents, test 
plans, and user manuals
* Work with management to schedule and allocate staff based on their 
existing workload and priorities
* Prioritize, manage, and solve problems as they arise
* Create and maintain change control plans
* Communicate risks, issues and/or problems to project team and client 
and complete weekly status reports
* Provide assessment of the need for any third-party vendors and/or 
products required to implement the work at hand, and manage the 
relationships with those vendors throughout the project lifecycle and beyond
* Monitor project budgets and resolve budget overages
* Ensure team complies with company processes including project 
accounting and invoicing
* Work with other PMs to follow established processes and develop 
improved processes
