If my Thinkpad T60 is any indication I would wait.  This thing is one of 
the worst laptops I've ever used.  When I took it to our helpdesk a few 
months ago one of the lead guys looked at it and said "Oh, one of the 
early T60s.  Yeah, we've had problems with those".  Apparently the first 
batch of Lenovo-made T60s are of very poor quality and the next run wasn't 
much better.  A coworker has a T60p that runs SuSe now and he said he's 
had driver and stability problems.  I hope they get better as I love the 
idea of a *NIX-based laptop, though at this point I would much rather have 
a Macbook.
