[Novalug] Ubuntu, SuSE installations and old gear

Some vid cards will present problems, like ones that use the S3
driver, which didn't seem to make the XFree86 -> XOrg migration.
However, they DO work with a standard "vesa" driver. This has
been handy to know, since I now reset the driver to "vesa" when
I swap cards. After the swap, I reset the driver to something
more appropriate for the new card. Remember, I use OLD junk,
so I can't assume that anything will work for me. By new, I
mean relative to the older stuff. FYI - cards with 4 MB seem
to work fine with the latest FC6 stuff, though I upgraded to
a couple of 32MB cards recently.
