Hi,
I'm running VMWare Workstation and Player happily on SuSE 10.1 and
10.2. Win2K sessions go for weeks (maybe months) between restarts.
The problem I have is that I need to rebuild Workstation almost every
time I do an update. The kernel isn't quite supported, but the
automated build seems to work, as long as I've got my kernel sources up
to date also.
It's a bit of a PITA, but well worth it for the gains. My wife runs
Windows in a VMWare session, and once in a while I backup the VMWare
directory, and I've got a *real* backup of her system in case of
disaster.
That alone is worth some hassles.
