LifeScan, who make the OneTouch line of meters I use, have made
available the comms protocol[1] for the Ultra2.  Apparently, there are a
few third-party apps already using it.

The Ultra2 is one of three current models.  I don't know if the
UltraSmart is covered by this protocol.  The third model, UltraMini,
does not have a data port.  I imagine that this protocol does not work
for older LifeScan meters either, but LifeScan is offering a free
upgrade[2] meter for older OneTouch models.
