That really depends on whether AT&T made it clear to me that I would be 
charged by foreign companies as well.  And if they couldn't give me any 
numbers on that, I wouldn't use it.  And yes, I would figure out how 
much their data transfer would cost me.  Then again, I'm paranoid about 
plans that aren't unlimited.
