[Novalug] "aptitude" wants to remove kernel-image

What does your /etc/apt/sources.list look like?

With Debian, you often have to change from 'stable' to
'sarge' (or whatever version you are using) when there
is a new release.

'stable' is pointing to etch right now. You want to
make sure you are pointed at 'sarge' explicitly.
