[Novalug] hardware question -- micro-ata?

Does anybody know if the 50 pin micro-ata interface on
new SSD's is the same interface for compact flash
media?

I am planning on getting this Samsung SSD:

for my Sony U101. I plan on using dd_rescue or similar
to move my data with a linux boot disc. The U101
cannot boot from USB CD, only firewire CD and I do not
have this. I am trying to determine if it makes sense
to spend the money on a more expensive firewire CD
drive or (if it will work) a compact flash adapter
that I can use with a USB adapter to mirror the drive
using a linux host.
