It re-opens the most-recently-closed tab. Pretty handy a few seconds
after you say "Oops!"

Ctrl-T opens a new tab (followed by Alt-Home to bring up your default
home page)
Ctrl-W closes a tab
Ctrl-Shift-T re-opens it (unless there wasn't anything in it. It only
gets added to the stack if there's an actual page loaded)

I use the first two so often I don't even think about them, and have
found the third quite handy on any number of occasions. Also,
middle-click on a link opens it in a new tab rather than the current
window (I think that's default behavior -- don't remember setting a pref
for it) -- invaluable for reading through link-riddled articles.

Haven't used this one much, but holding Ctrl and Shift while scrolling
the mouse wheel moves the current tab forward/backward in its history
list. Alt-left and -right arrow do the same thing, but one-off (and
therefore more controlled) rather than quick scrolling, so that's what I
usually use.

If it can be done easily with the keyboard, the mouse is a waste of
time. ;)
