Sometimes this works to our advantage. After M$ pulled the plug on
PlaysForSure, making any mp3 player using it inoperable with Windoze, a bunch
of them started showing up on surplus sites dirt cheap. I picked one up for
1/10 of the original price and tried it out. I plugged it into a USB port on
a Linux machine and the directories showed right up. I copied some files over
and they played perfectly.

Incidentally, it was a Sansa C140.
