locally on a single server. I didn't try to access it via another server
in the house (well, printing worked, didn't try scanning)

I will also tell you I consider the printer a 'throw away'. Got it 'for
free' when we bought a Mac a few years back. Copy blows now and scanning
works ok. same for printing. it was good for a year or two, then the
quality just 'left'. no idea or help searching the web although I didn't
try to hard as the need to scan is rare for me.
