[Novalug] PoPToP PPTP VPN Question

Is there no way to assign normal IP addresses with the standard gateway 
and the standard netmask.
Its a pain when like with my setup I have MPLS and all my locations have 
different internal Ip ranges and
even trying to set the default route does'nt allow me to communicate 
with them...   Its obvious why when
the Netmask is 255.255.255.255 and the Default Gateway is the same as 
the IP Address.  I have been
googling it for 2 days .. and everyone says that is is normal.  I don't 
care what is normal  I want to know
what will work!.....
